JAKARTA - Three tourist destinations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely Gembira Loka Zoo in Yogyakarta City, Breksi Cliff Park in Sleman Regency, and Pinussari Mangunan Forest in Bantul Regency will conduct limited operational trials starting Tuesday, September 14.

Head of the Yogyakarta Tourism Office (Dispar) Singgih Raharjo when contacted in Yogyakarta, Monday, said that the determination of the trial opening of tourist destinations refers to the Circular (SE) of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy received on Saturday, September 11.

"The main requirement is to conduct a trial that already has a CHSE certificate (cleanliness, health, safety, environment sustainability)," said Singgih.

In addition to the three tourist destinations, Ratu Boko Temple in Sleman Regency actually has a CHSE certificate, including meeting vaccination coverage standards, as well as standard operating procedures for opening tourist destinations.

However, considering that Ratu Boko Temple is under the same management as Prambanan Temple, PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan Ratu Boko (TWC) provides opportunities for other destinations to get a trial experience.

"So we recommend Breksi Cliff Park, which is still in the same district as Ratu Boko," said Singgih.

Dispar DIY together with the three designated tourist destinations have made technical preparations since the SE Kemenparekraf was received, then continued internal testing on Monday, September 13 to ensure the flow of incoming and outgoing tourists, HR in charge of supervising the scanning of the QR code of the PeduliLindung application, as well as the tourist reservation process through Visitingjogja application.

Tourists who want to enter tourist destinations, said Singgih, must make reservations in advance through Visitingjogja because there are restrictions on visitors according to the carrying capacity of tourist destinations.

"So to make sure they (tourists) can enter," he said.

Ordering through Visitingjogja also aims to make payments non-cash and avoid accumulation at tourist destination counters.

"This is part of what we encourage to do healthy tourism activities," he said.

According to him, Dispar DIY is still trying to standardize the calculation of the "carrying capacity" of each tourist destination together with the health department, elements of the police and the local COVID-19 Task Force.

"So this will be understood collectively, not unilaterally. I also don't want the carrying capacity to be calculated in a calculated manner but disbanded due to different understandings," he said.

However, Singgih ensured that during the trial period the quota of visitors to tourist destinations was limited to a maximum of 25 percent of normal capacity.
