East Kalimantan Sets Record, Daily COVID-19 Cases Only Increase By 92, Recovers 333 People

KALTIM - The COVID-19 recovery rate in East Kalimantan Province (Kaltim) increased by 333 people on Monday, September 13. Meanwhile, there are 92 positive cases.

Spokesman for the East Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force Andi Muhammad Ishak said, with the addition of 92 cases this time was the lowest case record in the last 3 months.

"Because the average daily case is more than 200," Andi said in Samarinda as quoted by Antara.

For the detailed cure rates, Berau 76 cases, West Kutai 23 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 50 cases, East Kutai 26 cases, Paser 10 cases, North Penajam Paser 15 cases, Balikpapan 56 cases, Bontang 46 cases and Samarinda 31 cases.

While the additional positive confirmed cases are 26 cases in Berau, West Kutai 5 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 4 cases, East Kutai 2 cases, Mahakam Ulu 2 cases, Paser 6 cases, North Penajam Paser 6 cases, Balikpapan 4 cases, Bontang 27 cases and Samarinda 10 cases.

"The accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in East Kalimantan is 154,681 cases, while those who have been declared cured are 146,160 cases," said Andi.

Death cases also increased by 13 cases, with details in Berau 4 cases, Kutai Kartanegara 4 cases, Paser 2 cases, Balikpapan 2 cases and Bontang 1 case.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths in East Kalimantan is 5,288 people.

Based on data from the East Kalimantan Province COVID-19 Task Force as of September 13, 2021, there are 3,133 COVID-19 patients who are still undergoing treatment both in hospitals and in self-isolation.

The patients were spread over 701 people in Bontang, 481 people in Berau, 478 people in Balikpapan, 437 people in Kutai Kartanegara and 275 people in East Kutai.

Furthermore, West Kutai 252 people, Samarinda 218 people, Paser 164 people, North Panajam Paser 112 people and Mahakam Ulu 15 people.
