DENPASAR - Chairman of the Bali DPRD Nyoman Adi Wiryatama asked Bali Governor Wayan Koster to clarify the ban on female Masters of Ceremony (MC) appearing at the governor's event.

"I think it's okay, but we haven't seen it yet. Tomorrow there will be clarification, later on, he (Governor Koster) will be the one who will answer through his clarification tomorrow," said Wiryatama, when met at the Bali DPRD office, Monday, September 13.

He also could not explain the viral incident. Of course he asked for clarification.

"That's why I haven't seen what underlies it. That's why I saw it first, I asked questions, for clarification tomorrow, as well as my answers," he said.

According to Adi Wiryatama, so far the Bali governor's program for women has been going well.

"It's going well. In general, I see it's been going well. Maybe there are cases that don't work, maybe when people work and can't get a job, it's legal for them to complain," he said.

"For that, the governor's brother will be asked for clarification. Later he will clarify, more precisely he will answer," he said.

The post of a woman who works as a master of ceremonies (MC) in Bali has gone viral on social media. The post was first uploaded by Putu Dessy Fridayanthi on his personal Instagram, namely @ecymcbali.

In his post, he wrote about his complaint and also protested because he was reportedly prohibited from appearing physically at an event attended by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster.

"Since the leadership of @kostergubernurbali, it's no secret that we female event workers, MCs, singers, dancers, etc., are often canceled by the client/EO of the H-1 event or even a few minutes before the event starts. The reason is because Koster will be there, so there should be no performers. women's show," he wrote in the post.

Dessy said the upload on her Instagram story was based on experiences she had experienced repeatedly. Most recently he admitted to being barred from appearing in front of Koster at a ministry event on Friday, September 3.

"The one who organizes the private sector but supports one of the ministry's programs so that the minister is there to inaugurate and the Governor is only accompanying him," Dessy said, confirming the post to reporters.
