Alert! BMKG Weather Forecast For Some Areas To Rain, Also Jakarta

JAKARTA - The weather this weekend is still dominated by rain in a number of areas in Indonesia as well as the capital Jakarta. This is according to the weather forecast from BMKG. Therefore you must be vigilant when doing activities outside the home on Sunday 12 September.

On the island of Sumatra and its surroundings, the weather in Banda Aceh is predicted to be cloudy from day to night, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang and Palembang will have light to moderate rain. Jambi and Bengkulu will experience rain and lightning. Pangkal Pinang and Tanjung Pinang with light rain. Meanwhile, Bandar Lampung is cloudy.

Serang is forecasted with light rain, and partly cloudy Bandung. Semarang is moderately rainy, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Denpasar and Kupang are cloudy. Mataram light rain.

In Kalimantan, Pontianak and Palangkaraya will be light rain, and Banjarmasin will be partly cloudy. Samarinda and Tarakan are cloudy. Manado, Makassar and Kendari are cloudy, while Mamuju is light. Ambon, Ternate, Manokwari and Jayapura are cloudy.

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) on Sunday morning issued an early warning of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds for a number of areas in the afternoon and into the evening.

The South Jakarta and East Jakarta areas have the potential to experience such weather on Sunday afternoon, according to the DKI BPBD, citing a source from the BMKG.

Cloudy weather is expected to occur evenly throughout the Jakarta area on Sunday morning. Jakarta's air temperature on Sunday ranged from 24-32 degrees Celsius with a humidity level of 80-95 percent.
