JAKARTA - Detachment 88 of the National Police Headquarters accompanied by the Head of the Tanjung Duren Police Sector arrested a suspected terrorist of the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network on Friday, September 10. In this arrest, Densus 88 also secured a number of evidences, namely a number of books, sharp weapons, and a firearm.

The arrest of a suspected terrorist in Tanjung Duren, West Jakarta is a series of the arrests of one Jemaah Islamiah (JI) in Bekasi. Based on information, prior to the arrests, the Detachment 88 team at the National Police Headquarters led by Iptu Noor S first coordinated with the Tanjung Duren Police Chief Commissioner Rosana Albertina Labobar to arrest suspected terrorists in their jurisdiction.

After conducting reconnaissance on the suspected terrorist, Densus 88 succeeded in bringing the suspected perpetrator who was the structural administrator of Jamaah Islamiah led by SLH (58). A number of items of evidence were found by the Densus 88 team, such as dozens of jihad books, sharp weapons, and a firearm. To avoid things that are not desirable, the suspect was immediately taken to the West Jakarta Police Headquarters, for examination.
