DENPASAR - The Bali Police Team arrested a man named Ilham Sabri (37) who specializes in motorcycle theft (curanmor) in Bali. The intermediary for the sale of stolen motorbikes is carried out by inmates at the Kerobokan Prison.

The arrest of the perpetrator began with a report from a victim named Edi Nurahman (20). The theft occurred on Tuesday, August 31, when the victim bought fried rice using an NMAX motorbike.
The victim's motorbike was lost when it was parked on the side of the road. This case was reported to the police.
"For this incident, the victim suffered a loss of Rp. 28 million and immediately reported it to the Denpasar Police," he added.
The police conducted an investigation until they got information that the stolen motorbike was bought by a man named M Malik.
"(Moh Malik) who sold the motorbike is currently being held in Kerobokan Prison as a convict in a narcotics case," he said.
The police immediately went to the Kerobokan Badung Bali Prison to check M Malik. He admitted to acting as an intermediary for the stolen motorbikes from the perpetrators.
The stolen motorbike was sold by M Malik through social media. When someone wanted to buy, Malik asked his sister named Fatmawati to hand over the motorbike to the buyer.
"The source of the motorcycle is the theft perpetrator (Ilham Sabri), he is a recidivist who has been incarcerated back and forth," he explained.
The motorbike thief, Ilham Sabri, was first arrested by the Kuta Bali Police team on Sunday, September 5.
