JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Sapol PP) held an operation to enforce health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 during PPKM Level 3. cafes to restaurants in Central Jakarta.

"We will check whether there is a crowd or not. If there is, we will immediately disperse them and direct them to go home," said Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head Bernard Tambunan to VOI in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday 10 September, early in the morning.

Bernard said this operation was a form of community and business compliance with health protocols (prokes) during PPKM Level 3.

Furthermore, Bernard explained, in Im Home Affairs 39 of 2021 and the DKI Governor's decision number 1072 it is clear that DKI Jakarta is still at Level 3. In the regulation it is explained that cafes must close at 21.00 WIB.

"Earlier, we checked Holywings in the Tahan Abang area, and Camden in Menteng. As a result, we did not find any violations. Those business actors have complied with the rules," he said.

In addition to inspecting Holywings and Camden cafes, Bernard said that his staff also conducted surveillance or dispersal at hotspots for crowds. Among them are along Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Sudirman, the HI Roundabout area, the Monas Circle and others.

"If we find a crowd, the officers immediately direct them to go home. The reason is that this is still a COVID-19 pandemic. I ask residents to continue to obey the existing regulatory procedures, it is also for mutual safety," he said.
