Through Virtual, Former Minister Of Youth And Sports Of The SBY Era, Adhyaksa Dault Gives Clarification Of Allegations Of Embezzlement Of Kwarnas Assets

JAKARTA - The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Adhyaksa Dault was reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police regarding allegations of embezzlement. The report against Adhyaksa is registered with the number LP/B/0169/2021/BARESKRIM.POLRI dated March 16, 2021.

The Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi confirmed this report. "Yes, there is (report-ed)," said Andi.

Andi said Adhyaksa was reported to be related to the alleged embezzlement of asset management of the National Kwartir (Kwarnas) of the Scout Movement. There were 3 articles that were complained of, Article 378 of the Criminal Code related to criminal acts of fraud, Article 372 of the Criminal Code related to alleged embezzlement, and Article 263 of the Criminal Code regarding alleged forgery of letters.

Apart from the Menpora, on 5 December 2013-28 September 2018, Adhyaksa Dault was the Chair of the National Scout Movement Quarter.

In the police report received by the SPKT Bareskrim Polri, it is stated that the alleged crime occurred in 2018.

"Allegations of fraud and embezzlement related to the management of Kwarnas assets," he said.

Regarding the progress of his report, Andi said that a summons had been made and asked for clarification on Adhyaksa.

Adhyaksa, he said, had complied with the summons from the police and underwent a virtual clarification process, Thursday, September 9.

"Clarification of the person concerned was carried out virtually yesterday," said Andi.

When asked whether there would be a suspect determination, Andi did not want to precede the ongoing investigation.

"Just wait for the development of the handling, what is certain is that the process is ongoing," he added.
