PALANGKARAYA - The Palangkaraya Police, Central Kalimantan, arrested two people, including students. They were arrested on suspicion of using fake COVID-19 vaccine certificates when crossing the PPKM blocking post in Taruna-Kalampangan Village, Jalan Mahir Mahar KM 23.

The head of the Palangka Raya Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Todoan Agung Gultom, said the two people involved had the initials MP (25) who were students in a local city and the other was a 16-year-old minor with the initials SFH.

"The MP is subject to Article 263 Paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code or 268 Paragraph (2) with the threat of 6 years in prison, while the underage suspect is charged with the ITE Law, the penalty is 12 years in prison," Gultom said. Thursday, September 9th.

It was also explained that it was revealed that the case of forgery of digital COVID-19 vaccine certificates began when MP was caught on Tuesday, September 7 at around 20.00 WIB at the PPKM isolation post in Taruna Village-Kalampangan.

The MP who was passing from the direction of Pulang Pisau Regency was revealed when the officer at the isolation post checked the digital vaccine certificate that the suspect had, it turned out to be out of sync with his identity.

After finding these facts, members of the police who handle the issue immediately develop and find out where the person concerned got the fake vaccine certificate.

"After it was developed, we arrested the SFH in Palangka Raya because the person concerned worked daily as one of the sticker printers," he said. SFH's role is to replace identity data by using other people's barcodes that they have made.

MP ordered to make a COVID-19 vaccine certificate as a condition for attending a real work course (KKN) scheduled by his university in Palangka Raya.

However, because of this they both have to deal with the law. They are now also languishing in the Palangka Raya Police Headquarters detention house to account for their actions.

"Based on SFH's recognition so far, only three people have made the vaccine certificate. We will investigate the three people," he asserted.

From the hands of the two suspects, the police confiscated 2 cell phones and 1 computer unit complete with equipment.
