Tomb Dismantled, Police Raise Death Of Victim's Sister Who Had Her Eyes Gouged Out

GOWA – The Gowa Police have named a number of suspects related to the violence experienced by AP, a 6-year-old girl in Gowa whose eyes were gouged out by her parents, grandfather and uncle.

Although the suspect status has been determined for the perpetrators, the police still want to reveal the death of AP's brother, namely DN (22) who died due to excessive salt water in his body. Therefore, the Gowa Police carried out the demolition of DN's grave.

"We are still investigating the cause of the victim's death, but after we coordinate with the family, we will indeed do an autopsy," said Gowa Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Boby Rachman, quoting CNN, Thursday 9 September.

However, Bobby explained that his party was still waiting for the family to come to report the incident that happened to AP and DN.

"The plan is that the victim's uncle will come to report here. We are still waiting," he said.

In the case of violence experienced by AP, Bobby said, his party has also named four people as suspects.

"Investigators have examined nine witnesses. The status of the four people we have detained, currently two more people have been named as suspects. So there are four suspects in total," he explained.

Additional suspects, said Bobby, are the victim's parents, namely, his mother and father. First, the police named the victim's grandfather and uncle as suspects. Meanwhile, Boby continued, his party has not detained the victim's mother and father, because they are still undergoing a medical examination at the Dadi Makassar Regional Special Hospital (RSKD) and they are still waiting for the results of the psychological examination of the two suspects.

"Both are still at Dadi Hospital and being observed and waiting for the results from there. The results are still coordinating whether it can be fast or not," he said.
