Pancasila University KRL Station And Pasar Minggu Baru Already Have Underpasses To Move Platforms

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia and KAI Commuter inaugurated underpasses at the Pancasila University KRL Station and Pasar Minggu Baru. This underpass is used by passengers to change platforms.

President Director of KAI Didiek Hartantyo explained, the underpass of the Pancasila University Station and Pasar Minggu Baru Station was built to prioritize the safety and comfort of KRL users.

"KAI wants to move faster to serve the community with better quality. So it is hoped that during the pandemic the trains will continue to move to provide better services to customers," said Didiek in his statement, Thursday, September 9.

Before there was an underpass, said Didiek, KRL users had to cross the railroad tracks to change platforms. The congested Jabodetabek KRL journey also becomes a risk for passengers who want to cross the platform.

Where, there are 356 KRL trips, both from Jakarta and from Depok or Bogor at both stations every day.

"So, the existence of this underpass is a positive step to build value and improve services for the KRL user community, which is growing every year," said Didiek. For information, the two underpasses have a width of 5 meters and a length of 17 meters. There are CCTV facilities, fans, lighting, and signage to provide convenience for KRL users when using the underpass at the two stations.

For priority customers such as persons with disabilities, pregnant women, sick people, and the elderly, KAI provides 2 priority lift units at each station to facilitate access to the underpass.

Didiek said that the presence of this underpass was a form of adaptation of the KAI Group to provide higher quality services to KRL users, especially people with disabilities.

With this underpass, KRL users who enter Pancasila University Station and want to take the KRL to Jakarta from the entrance to platform 1 (Kampus UP) must go through the underpass to wait on platform 2.

Then, KRL users who want to go to Depok or Bogor from the entrance to Platform 2 (Jl. Lenteng Agung) must go through the underpass to wait on platform 1 of the station.

Meanwhile, for Pasar Minggu Baru Station, KRL users who enter from the entrance of the station platform 1 (Jl. Batu Merah) and want to take the KRL to Jakarta must go through an underpass to wait on platform 2.

On the other hand, KRL users heading to Depok or Bogor from the entrance to Platform 2 (Jl. Rawajati Timur) must go through an underpass to wait at Platform 1.

With the operation of the two underpasses, a total of 14 KRL stations have underpasses. The 14 stations are Cilebut Station, Bojonggede, Citayam, Depok, Depok Baru, Lenteng Agung, Sunday Market, Kalibata, Tebet, Manggarai, Pondok Ranji, Sudimara, Pancasila University, and Pasar Minggu Baru.
