The "Semarang Bridge Fountain" Attraction Is Back On Show

SEMARANG - The Semarang City Government has reopened the "Bridge Fountain" attraction at the West Flood Canal bridge following the lowering of the status of the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Central Java Capital City to level 2.

"If you want to see, go ahead, but there should be no crowds," said Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 8.

At this initial stage, he said, the dancing fountain attraction will only be held at 20.00-20.30 WIB every Friday and Saturday.

"The context is not yet as a tourism attraction, it is still operated in a limited way," he added.

The mayor of Semarang asked that the opening of various entertainment and tourist spots in the city of Semarang not be a euphoria for the community.

Hendi emphasized that excessive euphoria is feared to have a negative impact on the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The attraction show "Semarang Bridge Fountain" has been suspended since the start of the pandemic last year.

The Semarang City Government has prepared a number of places to wash hands at points where residents witness the attraction.
