Supporting PON XX And Peparnas 2021 In Papua, Babel Provincial Government Disburses IDR 7 Billion Funds

BABEL - The Provincial Government of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) disbursed funds worth IDR 7 billion as a form of local government support in the success of the XX National Sports Week (PON) and XVI National Paralympic Week (Peparnas) 2021 in Papua.

"We have disbursed a grant for KONI Babel Rp. 7 billion to make PON XX and Perparnas 2021 successful in Papua," said the Regional Secretary of the Babel Islands Province, Naziarto, after a coordination meeting with the Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs through a zoom meeting in Pangkalpinang, Antara, Wednesday, September 8. .

The disbursement of a grant of Rp7 billion to KONI Babel made the Provincial Government of the Islands of Babel together with 17 other provinces as regions that had implemented the Presidential Instruction of the Republic of Indonesia (Inpres) Number 4 of 2021 concerning Support for the Implementation of the XX National Sports Week and the XVI National Paralympic Week 2021 in Papua Province.

"Previously we planned for Rp. 12.5 billion, but because of the refocusing, it became Rp. 7 billion. Meanwhile, the disbursement of the NPC (National Paralympic Committee) and the security of athletes are in the process," he said.

The Director General of Regional Finance at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mochammad Ardian, appreciated the regions, including Babel, who had fully realized the disbursement of grant funds for KONI in supporting athletes.

Meanwhile, for regions that have not transferred grant funds, they are requested to be completed before September 16, 2021.

"From the latest data yesterday, we have received reports regarding local government grants to KONI. Of the 34 local governments, 18 local governments have made payments 100 percent, 11 local governments 99 percent, and 4 local governments are still below 50 percent. We appreciate the regions that have paid 100 percent," he said.

He reminded the regions not to be careless in disbursing grant funds aimed at supporting athletes and officials. For regions that are currently having problems because they are still discussing the Revised APBD, Ardian provides a solution that can be done.

"We have previously conveyed to the regional government that grants, both to KONI, NPC, Polda, can be discussed in the elaboration of the APBD changes as an effort to accelerate the implementation of the grant. This is an anticipation that during the discussion it is past time. Please fix the addendum, it will be refined depending on the current factual situation. this," he said.
