Arrest The Debt Collector Who Stole His Motorbike, This Ojol Driver Was Dragged Along The Streets

JAKARTA – One debt collector was beaten by a mob on Jalan Meruya Ilir, Kebun Jeruk, West Jakarta. Residents were upset because the debt collector took a motorbike belonging to one of the ojol drivers (online motorcycle taxis) who was working. The act of taking the motorbike forcibly happened was very tense, because the victim was dragged along the streets.

Information was obtained from @gunabdillah as a witness and picture recorder of the incident.

"Yes that's right. The incident was near the Kebon Jeruk Police Station. About 1 kilometer.” said the man who is familiarly called Bang Gun when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, September 7th.

The motorcycle theft incident was witnessed by many local residents. The witness said that at that time the victim (ojol driver) was confronted by two debt collectors.

"The victim was stopped by two people using a white Honda Beat motorcycle. While the victim goes up Nmax. After a verbal exchange, the victim was asked to buy stamps. At that time, one of the perpetrators took the victim's Nmax motorbike away." Gun explained.

Not wanting to lose his motorbike, the victim immediately grabbed the debt collector who was trying to escape with a Honda Beat motorbike.

"Yes, tense too, the victim immediately hit the perpetrator while walking fast. In the end, the victim was dragged along the street. Residents who saw immediately tried to block the perpetrators by throwing stones and glass. The last one was kicked by the residents and finally fell down.” he continued.

The perpetrator in the red checkered shirt could not avoid the crowd's fury. Residents trampled on the victim, hitting him with a helmet.

"Fortunately there is security. If you can't finish it, it's a debt collector. Finally taken to the security post.” concluded Gun.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kebon Jeruk Police, AKP Pradipta, did not respond when contacted.
