Jakarta Satpol PP Sentil On Sanctions At Holywings Cafe, Denny Siregar: Just Blame Jokowi Later

JAKARTA - Social Media Activist Denny Siregar satirized the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP which imposed a 3x24 hour closure on Holywings Cafe, Kemang, South Jakarta following a crowd on Saturday, September 4.

For Denny, the execution of cafe closures on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays did not have any impact in limiting the crowds of people in the capital city. Because, visitors are usually crowded on the day before the weekend alias Thursday, Friday to Saturday.

"It's closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.. It doesn't matter. People are busy on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It's funny, Mr. Satpol," Denny tweeted on his personal Twitter, @dennysiregar7 quoted Monday, September 6.

According to Denny, the lightness of the sentence clearly has no effect on cafes, restaurants and other night clubs in suppressing crowds of visitors. It could be, the entertainment place meant to be relaxed operates.

"In Jakarta, everything can be negotiated. As long as there is mutual understanding. If anything happens, just blame Jokowi," said Denny.

Holywings Kemang Cafe, South Jakarta was temporarily sealed due to violating health protocols during PPKM Level 3. The business premises allowed crowds and violated the operational time limit.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria said Holywings Kemang was not only given a temporary closure. The cafe, which is a gathering place for young people, is also subject to fines.

"Meanwhile (Holywings Kemang) will be closed for 3 days. Apart from the closure, there will be fines of course," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 6.

The imposition of sanctions on places of business that violate health protocols is regulated in DKI Governor Regulation Number 3 of 2021 concerning Implementing Regulations of Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning COVID-19 Management.

In the regulation, it is stated that the manager, organizer, or person in charge of a place of business who does not carry out the obligation to protect public health is subject to administrative sanctions, starting from a written warning, temporary cessation of activities, administrative fines, suspension of permits, and/or revocation of permits.

If the first violation is found, the place of business will be given a written warning. If you repeat the violation, a temporary suspension of activities for 3 days will be carried out by installing a seal at the entrance to the place of business.

Then, if you still repeat the violation after getting a temporary suspension of activities, then you will be subject to an administrative fine of up to IDR 50 million.

For businesses that do not carry out temporary cessation of activities or pay administrative fines, the Investment Office and PTSP will impose administrative sanctions in the form of temporary suspension of permits or revocation of permits after receiving a recommendation from the Head of the Industry, Trade, KUKM or authorized official.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP has temporarily sealed the Holywings Kemang cafe, South Jakarta for violating health protocols during the PPKM Level 3. The violation occurred on Saturday, September 4 night. The sanction given is in the form of temporary closure of the place of business for 3x24 hours since Sunday, September 5.

"Sanctions of Temporary Closure 3x24 hours were imposed by DKI Jakarta Satpol PP officers on Sunday, September 5 after it was found that there was a violation of PPKM level 3 provisions," wrote the satpolpp.dki Instagram account.

Holywings Kemang had previously violated health protocol rules during the pandemic 2 times. If Holywings Kemang violates it again, the DKI Provincial Government will freeze its business license.
