Patrol In Intan Jaya, Officers Find Guns, Ammunition To Delicious Noodles Belonging To The Sabinus Waker Terrorist Group

PAPUA - Members of the 501/BY Para Raiders Infantry Battalion confiscated a number of items in Bugapa Village, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua. There is one handgun and an assembled long-barreled weapon along with its ammunition, 4 packs of delicious noodles, candles, cigarettes and cooking utensils.

The 501/BY Infantry Battalion Commander, Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Arfa Yudha admitted that the findings were obtained in one of the honais in Bugapa Village.

"It's true when members of the patrol around the area were led by Infantry First Lieutenant Yulian Nugroho," said Yudha when contacted from Jayapura, Antara, Monday, September 6.

The seizure began when officers patrolled the location and became suspicious of one of the residents who had fled.

Then they checked inside the honai and found firearms and ammunition. The findings were immediately taken to the post.

It is suspected that all the firearms and ammunition belonged to the separatist and terrorist group Sabinus Waker, although during the patrol no members of the separatist and terrorist groups were arrested.

In mid-August, the 501/BY Para Raiders Infantry Battalion arrested two members of the terrorist separatist group, Boy Tipagau and Jerianus Sani, in Galunggama Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency.

Both of them are suspected to be the perpetrators of the burning of an MAF airplane in Pagamba village, Biandoga district, on January 6 and the case is now being handled by the Nabire Police.
