In Addition To Character, It Is Important For Students To Immediately Become Independent Human Beings

JAKARTA - The environment is an important part in the formation of student character. In addition to having a strong character, it is important for students to immediately become independent human beings.

"So they are no longer dependent on their parents. So, while studying, students should not hesitate to immediately find work so that they can be independent," said the founder of the Jababeka Group and President University (PresUniv) SD Darmono in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Sunday, September 5th.

SD Darmono spoke to all new students from the class of 2021 at the Founder's Talk event, last Friday. The Founder's Talk was held face-to-face (offline) at the culinary center of the Jababeka area, Bekasi.

The event was only attended in a limited way by 31 new students who came from various provinces throughout Indonesia. Meanwhile, thousands of other students attended online.

"Since their first day of college, we have prepared students to pursue future career choices, namely whether they want to become professional executives, entrepreneurs or academics/researchers," added PresUniv Chancellor Jony Oktavian Haryanto.

The public lecture on Friday morning began with an opening remarks by the former Governor of the National Defense Institute (Lemhanas) who now serves as Chairman of the President's University Education Foundation, Budi Susilo Soepandji.

Budi Susilo delivered his remarks by first thanking the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"The message from the Chief of Police for all new students brings a new, fresher atmosphere to the environment and the lives of PresUniv students. Moreover, in his messages, the Chief of Police alludes to love for the homeland and harmony. This is very important for the unity and integrity of the nation, "said Budi Susilo.
