JAKARTA - The reduction in the rate of COVID-19 tests based on antigen and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) has been positively welcomed by the public. The two tests, which are one of the requirements for air travel, have been quite burdensome for the community so far.

Now when the price is lowered, the flow of air passengers is starting to increase. One of them is at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, which has experienced a significant increase.

"Probably because of the decrease in PCR and antigen prices. Indeed, since travelers can use the antigen results even though they are still Java-Bali, there has been an increase," said Stakeholder Relations Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) International Airport Branch Office I Gusti Ngurah Rai Taufan Yudhistira in Badung, Bali, Sunday, September 5.

"Then there was a decrease in the price of PCR, it also started to increase again and as of last Friday we had adjusted the price for the antigen test to Rp. 99 thousand, there was another increase in passengers," said Rai Taufan.

He said the increase was recorded as in the statistics of passengers arriving and leaving the airport on Friday, September 3, which reached 6,000 passengers.

"Previously, Ngurah Bali Airport served an average of around 2,500-2,600 airplane passengers every day," he said.

Taufan also explained that his party hopes that the trend of increasing the number of passengers at Ngurah Rai Airport can continue, which is also accompanied by a decrease in cases of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With a note that all passengers and airport service users are still required to be disciplined in implementing health protocols," he said.

Previously, Ngurah Rai Airport had also become a pilot project for the implementation of the PeduliLindung application. All flight requirements documents are digitally integrated so that passengers do not need to bring physical documents to reduce direct contact between officers and speed up the inspection process.

"In the PeduliLindung application there are Covid-19 Vaccination and Test documents as well as filling out an electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC), prospective passengers before leaving can download the PeduliLindung application through the App Store or Play Store for a smooth trip, we have prepared a special route for users of this application. , said Taufan.
