JAKARTA - The City Government (Pemkot) of Depok, West Java, has vaccinated against COVID-19 as many as 537,091 people or 33 percent of the total 1,613,557 people targeted for the vaccine.
"This number is for the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination until September 2, 2021 for the first dose of vaccination," said Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris in his statement, quoted from Antara, Saturday, September 4.
As for the second dose of vaccination as many as 349,978 people (21.68 percent) and the 3rd dose of vaccination for Health HR as many as 6,103 people (0.38 percent).
Idris explained that the targets who had received the vaccination service were Health Human Resources, the Elderly, Public Officers, Vulnerable and General Communities, Youth (age > 12 years) and students.
To speed up vaccination, the Depok City Government held a Mass Vaccine Festival in 11 Sub-districts throughout Depok City, which was held from September 1-5, 2021 at the District Office using the Pfizer vaccine with a target of around 600 to 1,000 doses per day per District.
"The mechanism for registering this vaccination is through Kampung Siaga Tangguh Jaya (KSTJ) in every RW," he said.

Idris reminded residents who have been vaccinated not to ignore health protocols, always wear masks when leaving the house, maintain physical distance, always wash hands with soap/hand sanitizer, obey PPKM policies, especially to avoid crowds and comply with the percentage of activities in public places.
