JAKARTA - The Central Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) has released an employee suspected of sexual harassment and bullying or bullying their co-worker, MS.

"Releasing the alleged perpetrator from all Central KPI activities in order to facilitate the investigation process by the police," said Central KPI chairman Agung Suprio in a written statement. in a statement quoted Friday, September 3.

He encouraged the cases of sexual harassment and bullying to be resolved through legal channels and would fully support the ongoing process.

"(We, ed) will be open to the information needed to investigate this case," said Agung.

In addition, the Central KPI will also provide legal assistance to MS and is ready to provide psychological assistance.

Agung said his party had conducted an internal investigation and had asked for information from his employee who was suspected of being the perpetrator.

As previously reported, MS said he was a victim of sexual harassment and bullying by seven of his more senior colleagues.

One of the sexual harassments she experienced was in 2015, when the perpetrators ganged up on her head, hands, feet, stripped her naked, pinned her, and abused her.

Related to this case, the Criminal Investigation Police also intervened to investigate this matter. In fact, a team of investigators has been deployed.

However, the Director of General Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Brigadier General Andi Rian, has not been able to comment much on the matter. He emphasized that the team that was deployed would seek information and instructions first.
