The Attorney General's Office Names Former Head Of Energy And Mineral Resources, Tanah Spices, South Kalimantan Suspect For Bribery And Gratification Of IDR 27.6 Billion Coal Mining Permit

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office has named the former Head of the Tanah Bumbu Energy and Mineral Resources Agency, South Kalimantan, R. Dwidjono Putrohadi Sutopo (RDPS) as a suspect in the bribery case and the gratification of the coal mining business permit (IUP).

The head of the Attorney General's Office for Legal Information, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, said that the suspect was suspected of receiving bribes and gratuities of IDR 27.6 billion.

"The suspect in the RDPS is the Head of the ESDM Office of Tanah Bumbu Regency from 2011 to 2016 (retired)," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 2.

During that time, said Kapuspenkum, there was a case of alleged corruption at the ESDM Office of Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan.

The investigation began with an Investigation Order Number: Print-11/F.2/Fd.2/04/2021 which was issued by the Director of Investigation at the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) on April 21, 2021.

Furthermore, the Director of Investigation of Jampidsus has issued a Suspect Determination Letter Number: Print-21/F.2/Fd.2/09/2021 and a Detention Order Number: Print-18/F.2/Fd.2/09/2021 to be carried out detention of suspect H. RDPS bin M.

Detention in question for the next 20 days at the Banjarmasin Class IIA Penitentiary, from Thursday to September 21, 2021.

The suspect of RDPS bin M is threatened with Article 12 Letter a or Letter b or Article 5 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Paragraph (1) Letter a or Letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law No. . 20/2001 jo. Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

Next, Article 3, Article 4, and Article 5 of Law no. 8/2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering.

"When RDPS is examined as a suspect and will be detained, the person concerned is accompanied by legal counsel," said Leonard.

The case is related to the transfer of IUP from one company to another or indications of bribery.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Jampidsus Investigation of the Attorney General's Office, Supardi, said that the suspect in the RDPS received bribes related to the mining permit from PT Bangun Karya Lestari to PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara.

"The briber was Hendri Sutiyo (deceased) from 2011 to 2016," said Supardi.
