JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Metro Police have established articles against perpetrators of sexual harassment and MSA bullying. The perpetrators are threatened with Articles 289 and 281 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 335.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Setyo stated, based on the results of the investigation conducted by the Central Jakarta Police on Wednesday August 1 last night against MSA, the alleged perpetrators will be charged with multiple layers of articles.

"They will be charged with Articles 289 and 281 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with 335, namely obscene acts and crimes against decency accompanied by threats to the person concerned," he told reporters, Thursday, August 2, evening.

However, AKBP Setyo said the application of the article was still limited to conjecture.

"That article that we apply is still only a guess. We will follow up, we will make this incident clear," he said.

The handling of cases experienced by MSA will be carried out jointly with the Central Jakarta Metro Police and the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI).

"Currently, there is only one witness being examined. We will cooperate with KPI because all those reported are KPI employees," he said.

Commissioner of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) Center Nuning Rodiah admitted that his party had examined 7 of his employees regarding allegations of sexual harassment and bullying experienced by MSA.

MSA, who is also an employee of KPI, previously wrote an open letter regarding the incident that happened to him. In the open letter, he wrote the names of eight alleged perpetrators who often bullied and sexually harassed him.

"We formed an investigation team to clarify the parties written by MSA. We have summoned 7 of the 8 suspected perpetrators," said Nuning at the Central Jakarta Police Headquarters, Thursday, August 2, evening.
