JAKARTA - A joint team from the Yahukimo Police and the Nemangkawi Ops Task Force arrested Ananias Yalak, alias Senate Soll, who was one of the leaders of the KKB, as well as the mastermind behind the murder of the General Election Commission (KPU) staff of Yahukimo. In fact, during the arrest the officer was forced to shoot the Soll Senate.

"Ananias (Soll Senate) was shot in the left and right legs for resisting and trying to run away when he was arrested," said Head of the Nemangkawi Gakkum Task Force, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani in a statement, Thursday, September 2.

The arrest of the Soll Senate began when there was information about his whereabouts on Jalan Samaru, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency. So, the team moved to the location to catch him.

"The team arrived at the target location and then conducted a raid on a house and immediately arrested Ananias Yalak's brother, alias Senate Soll," said Faizal.

In fact, the team also arrested five other people. However, the involvement of the five people in the criminal case was not detailed.

"Securing 5 other people from inside the house. They are Pilas Matuan, Apius tabla, Mekison, Sapuk Asso, and Abert Matuan," he said. Previously, it was reported that one of the leaders of the Soll Senate KKB was arrested in Dekai. The arrests were made on Thursday, September 2, at around 05.00 WIT.

The Soll Senate was involved in the sale and purchase of 155 rounds of ammunition in 2018, when he was still a member of the Indonesian Army. Kemudin, he was also involved in the murder of KPU staff Yahukimo Hendri Jovinski which was carried out on August 11, 2020 and the murder of Muhammad Thoyib on August 20, 2020.
