Wild Racing At PPKM Level 3, Dozens Of Motorcycles Confiscated

JAKARTA - Police dispersed the illegal racing action that took place on Jalan Army Student, before the General Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) of the Student Army, North Grogol, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. In fact, about 88 motorcycles were prosecuted.

"We have seized 88 vehicles and 57 of them have been seized," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to VOI, Thursday, September 2.

Most of the vehicles that were seized on Thursday, September 2, early that morning were for sharing violations. One of them is no longer equipped with vehicle documents.

Thus, dozens of confiscated vehicles will be traced to the origin of their ownership. The goal is to detect the vehicle is not stolen and so on.

"It was temporarily confiscated and a confiscation certificate (STP) was made," said Sambodo.

On the other hand, the public is also advised not to take advantage of the relatively light traffic conditions at level 3 PPKM masses for negative things. Moreover, the action of illegal racing has the potential to cause crowds and be prone to accidents.
