Former Karangasem Regent Mas Sumatri Investigated By Investigators In Alleged Corruption Cases Mask

KANGASEM - The former regent of Karangasem, Bali, I Gusti Ayu Mas Sumatri was questioned by a team of investigators from the Karangasem District Attorney's Office, Bali, regarding the alleged case of mask corruption at the Karangasem Social Service. Mas Sumatri was examined as a witness.

"Today, there is an examination of the witness of the former Karangasem Regent who was examined by investigators in providing information regarding the mask case in Karangasem district," said Head of Intelligence at the Karangasem District Attorney I Dewa Gede Semara Putra, Tuesday, August 31.

According to Semara Putra, currently investigators have examined as many as 60 witnesses. Starting from the planning section to partners.

"For now, there are approximately 60 witnesses who have been examined by the Karangasem District Attorney's investigators," he added.

The handling of cases of alleged corruption in the procurement of masks at the Karangasem Social Service has been running at 95 percent. Meanwhile, investigators from the Karangasem District Attorney's Office also cooperated with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to calculate state financial losses.

"It is 95 percent and we have coordinated or investigators have coordinated with BPKP to determine the state's losses," said Semara Putra.

Previously, investigators from the Karangasem District Attorney's Office, Bali, searched the office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Karangasem Regency. The search was related to the alleged corruption case in the procurement of masks worth Rp. 2.9 billion in 2020 at the Karangasem Social Service (Dinsos).
