Solo City Government Starts Allowing Visitors To Eat At The Mall

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government has begun to allow visitors to eat at restaurants and hawker centers in malls as it relaxes from the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM).

"Eating at the mall is allowed, but only for 30 minutes, with a maximum capacity of 25 percent," said Chief Executive of the Surakarta City COVID-19 Task Force, Ahyani, in Solo, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 31.

For mall visitors themselves, he said, they are still required to use the Peduli Protect application before entering as part of the screening process that the visitor has undergone a COVID-19 vaccination.

Apart from malls, he said, the Peduli Protect application has also begun to be piloted in a number of tourist destinations.

"For some tourist objects, it is allowed to be tested, only those that are open, namely the Taru Jurug Animal Park and Balekambang Park," he said.

However, he could not confirm whether the Peduli Protect application in the future will also be applied to every visitor, including minors.

"While the first trial, does it refer to Taman Mini (TMII), do you have to be accompanied by parents who have entered the Care Protect application," he said.

Meanwhile, the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 38 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 4, Level 3, and Level 2 COVID-19 in the Java and Bali Region for the Soloraya area has decreased from level 4 to level 3.

Some districts/cities that have entered level 3 include Wonogiri Regency, Sukoharjo Regency, Sragen Regency, Surakarta City, Klaten Regency, Karanganyar Regency, and Boyolali Regency.
