Suspected Of Being The Mastermind And Lender Of KKB Funds, The Head Of Wusama District Arrested

JAYAPURA - The Nemangkawi Law Enforcement Task Force Team arrested EB, Head of Wusama District, Yahukimo Regency, for allegedly being involved in an armed criminal group (KKB) which often spreads terror acts in the area. EB is suspected of being the mastermind and funder for KKB activities. The Gakkum Nemangkawi Task Force, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, said that apart from arresting EB, the team also arrested three other people, namely EH, Y and YH. The four people were arrested Friday, August 27 at EB's home.

The arrest began with information regarding a black vehicle that often crossed Dekai to the location of the incident which was on the outskirts of the Brazza River. From that information, members investigated it, but unexpectedly the vehicle being sought passed in front of the Yahukimo Police Headquarters, Dekai, so they were led in and the driver, namely EH was questioned.

EH in his statement to investigators admitted that there were dozens of KKB members at EB's house so that Friday night at around 20.00 WIT, the members made an arrest. It was explained that of the eight people who were detained at EB's house, four of them had been named as suspects, namely EB, Y, EH and YH. YH is a member of KKB who was directly involved in various actions, including the murder of four construction workers in Bingky Village, Seradala District, last June 29 and the murder of two PT Indo Mulia workers. It was only at the Brazza River bridge on August 23rd, said Kombes Faizal.
