Lili Pintauli Acts And Gets Sanctioned, PKS: This Is Something Serious

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKS Central Board, Mardani Ali Sera, highlighted the actions of the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission), Lili Pintauli Siregar, who violated the code of ethics related to the case of the Mayor of Tanjung Balai, M Syahrial. According to him, the anti-corruption agency is getting sad.

"KPK is getting sadder. This is something serious", said Mardani, Tuesday, August 31.

The reason, continued Mardani, KPK leaders should have a high standard of integrity. "The public has high hopes for the KPK. The commissioners are the moral guardians of the KPK", said the member of House of Representatives Commission II.

Mardani reminded the KPK Council that the verdict against Lili was a small mistake that could have fatal consequences. Because he said, the punishment given was not by what was done.

"Small mistakes that are not punished properly can lead to big mistakes", said Mardani. He also invited the public to monitor the KPK.

"Let's all take care of our KPK, supervise and praise the good ones and criticize the wrong ones", he said.

It is known that the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Lili Pintauli Siregar, accepted the sentence that the Supervisory Board had imposed on her and imposed a sanction in the form of a 40 percent reduction in basic salary for 12 months.

That's because Lili was proven to be a code of ethics for providing information about the development of the handling of the case in Tanjungbalai which dragged Mayor M Syahrial.

"I received the response of the Supervisory Board", said Lili to reporters, Monday, August 30.

"Punishing the examinee with a severe sanction in the form of cutting his basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months", said Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean, chairman of the KPK Supervisory Board.
