Trapped By KPK OTT, Probolinggo Regent Becomes Corruption Suspect

JAKARTA - The Regent of Probolinggo, East Java Puput Tantriana Sari has been named a corruption suspect by the KPK. The Regent of Probolinggo was caught by the KPK OTT with her husband Hasan Aminuddin, who is a member of the DPR.

"As recipients of HA (Hasan Aminuddin), PTS, DK (Doddy Kurniawan), MR (Muhamad Ridwan)," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference, Tuesday, August 31 in the morning.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) explained that the construction of the case began with the simultaneous election of Village Heads in the second stage in the Probolinggo Regency area, which was originally scheduled for 27 December 2021, the election schedule was postponed until 9 September 2021.

There are 252 village heads from 24 sub-districts in Probolinggo Regency who have finished serving.

To fill the vacant position of the Village Head, it will be filled by the Acting Village Head from the ASN in the Probolinggo Regency Government and the proposal is made through the Camat.

In addition, there are special requirements where the proposed names of Village Head Officers must obtain HA approval in the form of initials on the official memorandum of proposing names as representatives of PTS and candidates for Village Head Officers are also required to provide and deposit a certain amount of money.

There is also the tariff to become a Village Head Officer of Rp. 20 million, plus in the form of a village treasury land rental tribute at a rate of Rp. 5 million/hectare.

“It is suspected that there was an order from HA to summon the Camats to bring the elected Village Heads and Village Heads who will retire. HA also requested that the Village Head not come to meet HA individually. but it is coordinated through the Camat,” said the KPK.
