JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has imposed a severe sanction in the form of a 40 percent reduction in basic salary against KPK Deputy Chair Lili Pintauli Siregar.

This sanction was given after Lili was proven to have violated ethics because she abused her authority and was in contact with the litigation party, the inactive Tanjungbalai Mayor M Syahrial, who was a suspect in the alleged bribery of buying and selling positions.

"The trial stated that the examinee Lili Pintauli Siregar was guilty of violating the code of ethics and code of conduct in the form of abusing the influence of the KPK leadership for personal interests and dealing directly with parties whose cases are being handled by the KPK," said Chair of the Tumpak Ethics Council, Hatorangan Panggabean in the trial which was broadcast online. , Monday, August 30.

"Punishing the examinee with severe sanctions in the form of cutting his basic salary by 40 percent for 12 months," he added.

It's just that this sentence is considered disappointing by the reporter Lili, namely the former Director of PJKAKI KPK Sujanarko. According to him, Lili's salary was only deducted by Rp. 1.8 million from the net salary or take home pay she received as Deputy Chair of the KPK.

Referring to Government Regulation Number 82 of 2015 concerning financial rights, protocol positions, and security protection for the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission, it is stated that there are different amounts obtained by the chairman and deputy.

If it is calculated thoroughly from basic salary to various allowances, the Chairman of the KPK pocketed a salary of around Rp.123,938,500 per month. Meanwhile, the four deputy chairmen took home a salary of around Rp. 112,591,250 per month.
