Mid-September, DKI Will Add Schools To Hold Face-to-face Meetings To 1,500 Schools

JAKARTA - Head of the Public Relations Sub-Section of the DKI Education Office, Taga Radja Gah, said that his party would increase the number of schools holding face-to-face learning (PTM) in mid-September.

As of today, there are 610 schools in the capital city that have started to hold PTM. Taga said, there will be hundreds of schools participating in limited PTM in the next few weeks.

"Gradually, we will increase the number of schools that will implement limited PTM, starting in mid-September. It will collect data so that it becomes 1500 schools," said Taga when met in the East Jakarta area, Monday, August 30.

Taga said the DKI Provincial Government plans to hold a limited PTM until December 2021.

"This is part of our gradual efforts so that schools in DKI can implement limited PTM as a whole," he said.

Until this afternoon, Taga admitted that he had not received the results of a comprehensive evaluation of the implementation of PTM in 610 schools in Jakarta.

Based on direct monitoring at one of the schools, namely SDN Cakung Barat 15, East Jakarta, the implementation of PTM on the first day of the school's opening has complied with applicable regulations.

"What I monitored at SD Cakung Barat 15, it was in accordance with the SOP. So, each table is only 1 person and there is a cross line for students not to sit on, it is estimated that there is 1.5 meters away," said Taga. recording of each new student coming to school. The school also regulates the flow of incoming and outgoing students on different paths.

Then, the teachers also make sure each student brings their own food and drink. So, the students do not gather to eat in the canteen.

"So, what I have observed is that the health protocol is strictly maintained. From the time the children enter school, wash their hands and then come to class, then in class there is social distancing. Even when I go home, I have observed leaving school.
