If You Advance Again In The 2024 Presidential Election, Prabowo Subianto's Chances Of Winning Are Considered Small

JAKARTA - The general chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, is said to be running again in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). This belief is because the electability of the Minister of Defense always occupies the top three positions in various surveys.

Esa Unggul University political communication observer Jamiluddin Ritonga, assesses that Prabowo's chances of winning are very small if he runs again as a presidential candidate for the third time. According to him, Gerindra's consideration could be dashed from the results of the existing survey.

"There is little chance that Prabowo will win," said Jamiluddin, Monday, August 30.

In addition, he said, even though Jokowi could no longer run as a presidential candidate, his supporters would not necessarily turn to Prabowo. He predicts that Jokowi's supporters will switch to other candidates.

Not to mention, Prabowo supporters who are disappointed because they are now in a coalition in the government. Thus, many may decide to abstain if there are no worthy candidates.

"This is the basis for the possibility that Prabowo will still lose in the 2024 presidential election," said Jamiluddin.

As previously reported, the Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, said that Prabowo Subianto would again run for the 2024 presidential election.

He explained that the Gerindra Party has a struggle jargon which reads "Comes from the people and fights with the people". Where, said Muzani, is one reason for his party to bring back Prabowo, who has a devoted attitude to the nation and state.

"That's why, we all want the Chairman of the Advisory Board and General Chairperson of Gerindra, Pak Prabowo, in the 2024 presidential election to run as presidential candidates," Muzani told reporters, Sunday, August 29.
