Prabowo: Solid Cabinet, We Work Well, Don't Hesitate Mr. Jokowi

JAKARTA - Gerindra Chairman, who is also Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, assesses the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia is quite effective. Prabowo is confident that Indonesia can face this difficult situation.

Prabowo said the government should ignore statements and criticisms that make noise handling COVID-19. According to him, what President Jokowi has decided has been right and effective.

"We think that the voices who want to make the situation worse should be ignored. We are already on the right path. So Mr. Jokowi's leadership is effective, sir. I admit that and I respect you. Prabowo said the government's pandemic handling team was quite compact and worked well. He reassured President Jokowi, everything has gone according to track.

"I think our team is good, the cabinet is quite compact and we are working well, sir. So please don't hesitate, we are on the right track. Because of the COVID-19 problem, I think we are quite optimistic. I think the delay in vaccines is faced by many countries," he said.

Regarding the economy, Prabowo is optimistic that Indonesia is better than many other countries. One of them is by not applying a lock or lockdown.

"It's also related, sir, your decision not to hard lockdown, which allows us to be safe. Other countries that have a hard lockdown are even experiencing difficulties. So we can be proud that our achievements are good, sir. I'm proud to be part of this government and we don't have to hesitate, sir," said Prabowo.
