The stolen car belonged to the victim named Kadek Juli Artha. A car was stolen at the Celukbuluh Service Banjar, Kalibukbuk Village, Buleleng, Bali on Wednesday, August 25.
The police conducted an investigation and arrested the perpetrator in Banjar Sanggket, Sangket Sukasada Village.
The perpetrator stole the car by first entering the victim's room which was empty through the window.
"Then (the perpetrator) took the vehicle keys as well as BPKB and STNK in an unlocked cupboard and took the vehicle away," he said.
"The perpetrator admitted that after he managed to take the car and then pawned it to someone with a pawn value of Rp. 30 million and the money was used to pay off debts and the perpetrators' daily needs," said Commissioner Aryawan.
