PSI-PDIP Lobby 'Persuades' Other Factions In DKI DPRD To Approve Anies Interpellation On Formula E

JAKARTA - The Formula E event which is planned to be held in DKI Jakarta is in the spotlight. After a disagreement about the urgency of Formula E during the pandemic, now the council members in the DKI DPRD are moving.

A delegation of DPRD members from the PDIP and PSI factions came to the room of the Chairperson of the DKI DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, to propose an interpellation right on Formula E. They came together, Thursday, August 26, hoping that the interpellation would be realized.

The interpellation application letter, along with the signatures of the DPRD members who proposed it, were already in Prasetio's hands. After this, the DPRD will determine a timetable for holding a plenary meeting to decide on the continuation of the interpellation proposal.

In order to approve the implementation of the interpellation, DPRD members who are present at the plenary meeting must meet a quorum of 50 percent + 1 or as many as 54 DPRD members.

Currently, there are only 33 DPRD members who have proposed the Interpellation of Formula E. Therefore, PDIP and PSI will lobby DPRD members from other factions to participate in plenary meetings.

PDIP faction member Ima Mahdiah said that the support from other faction members in criticizing the implementation of Formula E could be realized by attending a plenary meeting. This is because the number of DPRD members who propose interpellation is not sufficient to meet the quorum in the plenary meeting.

"We hope that friends who may want to come forward as individuals, can attend the plenary forum. Because if we only have 33 people in the plenary session, we lose votes. We cannot continue the interpellation," said Ima on Thursday, 26 August.

PSI faction member of the DKI DPRD, Viani Limardi, admitted that the initiator of the interpellation would lobby other faction members to join them.

"From now onwards, we will continue roadshows and establish communication with friends in other factions," said Viani.

Viani views that there are actually DPRD members from other factions who claim to object to the implementation of Formula E, such as members of the Golkar and Democrat factions. However, they did not participate in signing the interpellation proposal due to the considerations of their respective factions. But the communication that we have built with other factions is still ongoing, "said Viani.
