For Orphans, Social Minister Risma Proposes A Budget Ceiling Of IDR 11 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) proposes an additional budget ceiling of more than Rp11 trillion for the handling of orphans, orphans, and orphans, including children who have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2022.

"Thank God we can be supported, especially for orphans. At first I thought it was not only for those affected by COVID-19," said Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini in a working meeting with Commission VIII DPR RI with an Agenda for Discussion of the Work Plan and State Ministries/Agency Budgets (RKA-KL) 2022 reported by Antara, Thursday, August 26.

In the working meeting chaired by the Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR RI, Yandri Susanto, the members of the council understood the proposal for an additional budget ceiling of Rp. 11,124,227,112,000 for the handling of orphans through the Child ATENSI Program.

The Ministry of Social Affairs plans to provide assistance for 12 months to four million orphans, orphans and orphans by 2022.

Commission VIII of the House of Representatives supports the implementation of the assistance program for orphans, orphans, and orphans proposed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and asks for details of the proposal to increase the 2022 budget ceiling to be discussed in a Hearing Meeting with Echelon I officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Previously, the Ministry of Social Affairs submitted a budget proposal IDR 3.2 trillion to provide assistance to orphans, orphans and orphans for four months in 2021.

The value of the assistance that will be given to each orphan, orphan, and orphan is IDR 300 thousand per month for those who are not yet in school and IDR 200 thousand per month for those who are already in school.

The implementation of the aid program will be preceded by collecting data on the residences of orphans, orphans, and orphans as well as giving cards to access assistance.
