COVID-19 Task Force Says 261,041 Schools Have Hold Face-to-Face Learning

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said that regions that have entered PPKM Level 3 will open schools to implement face-to-face learning (PTM).

Until now, Wiku said that there were 261,041 schools that had held limited PTM by implementing health protocols.

"As of August 22, 2021, as many as 31 percent of the 261,041 educational units located in the PPKM Levels 3,2 and 1 areas have held limited face-to-face learning with strict health protocols," said Wiku in a virtual press conference, Thursday, August 26.

Wiku said that the schools opened had met the requirements for Limited PTM in accordance with the Joint Decree of the 4 Ministers and the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the implementation of PPKM.

According to him, every school that is opened is required to form a COVID-19 Task Force to monitor and evaluate compliance with the implementation of each school's health protocol.

"Education units need to form a Task Force. In principle, a comprehensive supervision system in PTM is not only the responsibility of the education unit but also parents and other environmental elements and various task forces," he explained.

It is known, the government allows the opening of schools to hold PTM only in areas that apply PPKM Levels 3, 2, and 1.

As a rule, the implementation of learning in educational units can be carried out through limited face-to-face learning and/or distance learning based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture, Minister of Religion, Minister of Health and Minister of Home Affairs Number 03/KB/202l, Number 384 of 2021, Number HK.01.08/MENKES/4242/2021, Number 440-717 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

For educational units that carry out limited face-to-face learning, it is carried out with a maximum capacity of 50 percent, except for SDLB, MILB, SMPLB, SMLB, and MALB a maximum of 62 percent to 100 percent by maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters and a maximum of 5 students per class. .

Then, PTM in PAUD is held for a maximum of 33 percent per class by maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 meters and a maximum of 5 students per class.
