Armed Robbers Raid A Gold Shop At Simpang Limun Medan, Police Find 3 Bullet Casings

MEDAN - Police found 3 bullet casings at the location of the robbery at a gold shop at Simpang Limun Market, Medan. The investigation into the perpetrator is still ongoing.

"There was an eruption (gunshots), we have secured 3 shells, the witnesses are under investigation. Then we are also waiting for Labfor and Inafis," said the Director of General Crime (Dirkrimum) of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Tatan Dirsan Atmaja at the scene, Thursday, 26 August.

Currently, there is one shooting victim who is being treated in hospital. However, he admitted that he did not know the identity of the victims of the shooting at the Simpang Limun Medan gold shop robbers.

"(Identity) we will check later, I got a report that is still 1. There is still 1 that I know," he explained.

The perpetrators of the gold shop robbery, said Tatan, were suspected to be more than 2 people. Tatan also does not know the amount of losses suffered by the gold shop owner.

"Our losses are still waiting. Two gold shops were robbed," he said.

"While it is not certain, we are still conducting an investigation. Hopefully it will be revealed soon," he said.
