Bribery And Gratification Of The Banjarnegara PUPR Service, KPK Examines 2 Witnesses Investigating Infrastructure Auction Process

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the infrastructure auction process in Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java, by summoning two witnesses.

This process was carried out to investigate allegations of bribery and gratification at the PUPR Office of the Banjarnegara Regency Government in 2017-2018.

The two witnesses examined were the Head of the Banjarnegara Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) Tatag Rochyadi and the Head of e-Government Organizers of the Banjarnegara Regency Information Communications Office Veryanto. They were examined on Wednesday, August 25 yesterday.

"Witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, related to the auction process for several infrastructure projects in Banjarnegara Regency," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri told reporters, Thursday, August 26.

In addition, during the examination, investigators also confiscated evidence found during the search process in a number of places in Banjarnegara.

Actually, the KPK will also examine a witness, namely the Head of the Development Section or the Head of the ULP for the years 201-2018, Joi Setiawan. However, this witness has died based on information received by investigators.

Furthermore, to investigate this case, the KPK summoned a witness, namely the Head of Highways at the PUPR Service, Arqom Al Fahmi. He was examined as a witness today.

However, Ali did not explain what investigators would investigate regarding the summons. However, Arqom was suspected of knowing about a riot, so he was summoned for questioning.

Previously, the KPK was investigating allegations of corruption and gratification cases at the Banjarnegara PUPR Service in 2017-2018. This rasuah practice is related to procurement, chartering, and rental activities.

Unfortunately, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) still has not explained who the parties are named as suspects in this case. Later, the announcement of the suspect and the chronology of the alleged corruption will be announced when the detention is carried out.
