JAKARTA - The National Police said Youtuber Muhammad Kece made a statement that allegedly contained blasphemy elements in the Bali area. In fact, it was there that he hid himself after learning that he was being hunted by the police.

"So the incident was carried out (allegedly) of blasphemy in Bali, at one of the hiding places in question around Badung, Bali," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono to reporters, Wednesday, August 25.

Rusdi detailed that his hiding place was in Banjar Untal-Untal, Dulang Village, North Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali Province.

In fact, Muhammad Kece is said to be alone in the hideout.

"His hiding place, alone," said Rusdi.

Currently, Muhammad Kece is still in Bali and will be brought to Jakarta. The plan is that this afternoon he will arrive at the Criminal Investigation Department to undergo further investigations.

"Now in the process of being taken to Jakarta to the Criminal Investigation Unit for follow-up. Maybe this afternoon it will arrive (at the Police Criminal Investigation Unit)," said Rusdi.

Previously, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Agus Andrianto, said that the suspect in the alleged blasphemy case had been arrested.

"It is true that the person concerned has been arrested," said Agus.

The arrest of Muhammad Kece took place in Bali. Currently, investigators are taking him to Jakarta for further investigation.

"Today they will be brought to the Criminal Investigation Department," said Komjen Agus.

There was even a statement that was considered blasphemy when Muhammad Kece uploaded a video on his YouTube account. Where, he inserts the word 'Jesus' in the Muslim greeting sentence

"Assalamualaikum, warrahmatuyesus wabarakatu," said Muhammad Kece.

In addition, he also changed several other sentences. Thus, Muhammad Kece was criticized by various parties.

"Alhamdulillah, jesus hirabbilalamin, all praise is due to the presence of the Lord Jesus, the father in heaven who deserves to be praised and worshiped," said Muhammad Kece.
