This Afternoon PDIP Reports The Burning Of The Party Flag To The Police

JAKARTA - PDI-Perjuangan will take legal action regarding the alleged burning of its party flag by protesters against the Pancasila Ideology Policy Bill (HIP) in front of the DPR / MPR RI Building, Wednesday, June 24.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI as well as a PDIP politician, Herman Hery after a meeting with the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police and the Director of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum). According to him, the PDI-P legal team will come to Polda Metro Jaya at 14.00 WIB.

"There will be a report at two in the afternoon where the PDI-P legal team will come to meet with the Regional Police Chief and Dirkrimum," said Hery in Jakarta, Friday, June 26.

However, he dismissed this meeting as an attempt to interfere. This was carried out solely as a form of supervision in accordance with the role of Commission III DPR RI.

"I am the chairman of Commission III in my supervisory function because the Police are a partner of Commission III. I want to know further how far has the Police taken steps in this case," said Hery.

In addition, from the results of the conversation, said Hery, the police had actually traced the evidence in the form of videos circulating on social media related to the incident. In fact, the police have mapped the suspects.

It's just that the actions taken are limited to that. Of course the reason is because there is no police report to initiate an official investigation process in the eyes of the law.

"From the explanation I got that the National Police had conducted an investigation and profiling, the National Police already had evidence that the parties were suspected of doing this," said Hery.

Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Yusri Yunus agrees, until now there has been no report from PDI-P. So that there has been no legal action related to the alleged burning of the party flag with the white muzzle bull symbol.

Regarding the information stating that the police had examined the field coordinator of the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA) action, he picked up on it. He said that all that was done was clarification by the intelligence team, not by the official investigators.

"If the field coordinator is yes (asked for clarification, red) it is with the intel because there is intelligence right there. Just asked what is this, but if friends ask whether it has been checked yet," said Yusri.
