Medan Residents Expelled From Hajj Dormitory When Wanting To Isolate COVID-19, Bobby Nasution Moves Quickly To Bring To P4TK

MEDAN - A resident of Medan named Fitria Wulandari admitted that she was rejected when she visited the Hajj Dormitory, one of the integrated isolation locations in Medan. The confession was conveyed via social media accounts and became viral.

Knowing this, Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution immediately moved quickly. Bobby admitted that she had taken the residents to the P4TK building, which is also the location for integrated isolation.

"They have been taken. Those who were rejected from the Hajj Dormitory have been taken to P4TK, in the Medan Helvetia area", Bobby Nasution said when met at the Medan Helvetia Village office, Tuesday, August 24.

Bobby Nasution explained that the integrated isolation location of the Hajj Dormitory is managed by the North Sumatra Provincial Government. Regarding the rejection, Bobby Nasution was reluctant to blame the North Sumatra Provincial Government.

"The Hajj hostel (North Sumatra provincial government). I don't blame the governor, yes, no", he explained.

President Jokowi's son-in-law said that currently Medan City has 4 integrated isolation locations.

"People can now choose to be in Soechi Hotel, P4TK, Ship (Pelni) and Hajj Dormitory. However, the management is 3 Medan," he said.

Previously, Fitria Wulandari, a resident of Medan, North Sumatra, expressed her grievances regarding the centralized isolation of COVID-19. Fitria was 'rejected' when she came to the Hajj Dormitory building, one of the locations for integrated isolation in Medan.

"If you want to isolate yourself, just come to the Hajj hostel. But that's when they got kicked out. Even when I said I was positive, the officer immediately jumped away from me, even though I had 3 layers of masks", Fitria said via her Instagram account, Monday, August 23.

Fitria's story was shared on social media specifically for regional information. Fitria Wulandari was asked about her reason for visiting the Hajj dormitory building where the integrated isolation is prepared by the Medan City Government.

"In the media, say that we accept anyone, but the question is "from where? who asked for here?" This is what I just experienced, Mr. @bobbynst @dy_rahmayadi", she said.

"Before coming here, I was not referred anywhere from the public health center near my house, in fact when I asked about isolation in the Hajj dormitory, the answer was I don't know. Try going straight to the Hajj hostel directly. How about it, sir?", continued Fitria.
