The Police Was Stabbed By A Cutter Knife, While Arresting The Rock-Throwing Terrorist

JAKARTA - The Tanah Abang Sector Police officer admitted that during the process of arresting the terrorists throwing stones at the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in front of the DPR building, Senayan the perpetrators had put up a fight.

Tanah Abang Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner (Kompol) Singgih Hermawan said, when the police and community members were arrested, the perpetrators resisted by throwing a cutter knife at the officers.

"The perpetrator was chased by the fallen member. The perpetrator took out a cutter and snatched it. Because there were a lot of people chasing after him and he was finally caught," said Singgih to VOI, Monday, August 23.

He added that the incident occurred around 19:00 WIB when the road situation was still busy.

"The situation is still busy. Meanwhile, there are members who fell so the perpetrators chased them. Yesterday there were witnesses, including members. So they were chasing each other," he said.

Until now, the Tanah Abang Metro Police are still developing the case of throwing stones from above (JPO) on Jalan Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta.

"We are still developing it, we are looking for other crime scenes. We are still developing the motive," concluded Singgih.

Case development carried out by members of the Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit to find other crime scenes (TKP) that were the targets of the perpetrators.

"We are still investigating whether he is the first time, whether there are others. Because there are also many JPO crime scenes. Because there are incidents in other places. They are in Depok and Tangerang," he said.

According to the witness' testimony, the police chief continued, the perpetrator only stayed for 1 day at the JPO in front of the DPR building. He just wanders without direction and purpose.

"That's why we are still looking for other crime scenes, the motive is still being developed. For the perpetrator, it is clear that he (UM) has been detained," he said.

The police confiscated evidence of chunks of stone and a cutter knife belonging to the perpetrator.
