The BMKG stated that the confluence area and slowing of wind speed (convergence) were observed extending in the waters of West Bengkulu, northern Kalimantan, from Southeast Sulawesi to West Sulawesi, in Maluku, from West Papua to North Maluku and in central Papua.
"This condition is able to increase the potential for rain cloud growth along the convergence area," said BMKG.
