Revealing Woman's Motive For Suicide In Apartment, Police Admits Difficulty Opening Victim's Cellphone Because Of Password

JAKARTA - The Head of Tanjung Duren Police, Kompol Rosana Albertina Labobar, said that his party was still conducting an investigation regarding the incident of a woman who committed suicide in an apartment by jumping from the 28th floor in the Tanjung Barat area, Grogol, Petamburan, West Jakarta.

"The victim committed suicide purely because there was video (evidence) before jumping. Meanwhile, the motive is still being investigated," he said when confirmed by VOI, Friday, August 20, evening.

The police chief explained that the victim was identified with the initials M (22). He is a resident of the apartment where he ended his life.

"He rents the unit (room) in the apartment. He has lived for 1 month," he said.

As of Friday evening, the police are still investigating the victim's death. Meanwhile, from the victim's communication device or cellphone, the police admitted that they were still trying to open the cellphone because it was locked (password).

"The victim's cellphone is locked. The victim lives alone in the apartment room unit that has been rented," said the police chief.

As of this writing, the case is still under investigation and is being handled by the Tanjung Duren Police.
