Supporting DPRD Interpellation On Formula E, Ferdinand: Anies Baswedan, Don't Play With APBD

JAKARTA - The discourse on the right of interpellation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan regarding the implementation of Formula E continues. To date, there have been 15 DPRD members from two factions, namely PSI and PDIP who have agreed to use the privilege.

Former Democrat Party politician Ferdinand Hutahaean also opened his voice. Ferdinand supports the DKI Jakarta DPRD using this right to find out how far the development of Formula E is.

"Don't forget to remind the ranks of the DKI DPRD to come together, unite to propose Anies Baswedan's interpellation on the darkness of Formula E. The public in Jakarta wants to know, want to hear how true Formula E is," Ferdinand explained on the Youtube channel @Ferdinand Hutahaean quoted by VOI, Thursday , August 19,

Ferdinand even asked residents of the capital to mark parties or members who did not agree with the use of the right of interpellation. For him, this is tantamount to supporting the uncertainty of when this electric car racing event will be held.

In fact, the rupiah that the DKI Provincial Government has disbursed so that this race can be carried out is not small. Meanwhile, the clarity regarding the implementation schedule, circuit and collaboration with any parties is not clear.

"We mark those who do not support the parties or DPRD members who support the pitch blackness of Formula E and support allegations of corrupt behavior in Jakarta. Anies Baswedan, we are waiting for information, don't play with the APBD," said Ferdinand.

Separately, a member of the PKS faction of the DKI DPRD, Abdul Aziz, assessed that the Formula E event would bring benefits to the DKI Jakarta Province. In addition to financial benefits, holding an electric car racing event will increase foreign exchange and raise Anies' name from a political perspective.

"I'm just thinking positive, Formula E will bring in a lot of foreign exchange, raise the image of our country, and raise the name of the Governor, so that there are many political aspects," Aziz said when contacted, Thursday, August 19.

Moreover, Aziz said that the proposed interpellation of Formula E was too trivial because the government is currently still tackling the COVID-19 pandemic.

"In our opinion, it is too premature and trivial if only because formula E has an interpletion. Currently we are in a pandemic. Many victims have fallen, we can see the performance of the Governor of DKI is extraordinary, we will see the results. On August 17, 2021, DKI has become a green zone. This is very important. deserves awards from inside and outside the country," said Aziz.

In DKI Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Regulations of the DKI DPRD, the right of interpellation is proposed to the leadership of the DPRD. The form of the right of interpellation this time was a plenary meeting with Anies to question the reason why Formula E was maintained.

The condition is that the interpellation can be carried out as long as it is signed by at least 15 council members and must be more than one faction. This requirement has been fulfilled by members of the DPRD. However, the interpellation approval will be decided by the chairman of the DKI DPRD.
