Young Denpasar Designers Will Appear At Paris Fashion Week 2021, Bringing 10 Designs From The Power Of Gek Bali

DENPASAR - Achievements in the international arena are again shown by the young people of Denpasar City.

This time, a young designer from Denpasar City, Christabel Vania Angelica Handoyo had the opportunity to display 10 of her designs at the Paris Fashion Week 2021.

Today, Christabel Vania met face-to-face and asked for support and blessing to the Mayor of Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara.

IGN Jaya Negara is proud of the achievements made by Christabel Vania Angelica Handoyo who will appear at Paris Fashion Week 2021.

"Hopefully this achievement can be an inspiration for other young people in Denpasar City to continue to work and learn even though we are currently in the midst of a pandemic," said Jaya Negara.

Jaya Negara hopes that this golden opportunity to appear in this prestigious world-class fashion event can be used as an experience to develop themselves, show their best and be able to share their experiences with other designers.

In addition, Jaya Negara also entrusted this momentum to be used as an event to promote tourism in Denpasar City and introduce Balinese traditional weaving, especially Denpasar City, in the international arena.

"Of course we provide full support and support, in the hope of being able to provide the best and promote cultural tourism and of course ikat weaving as the typical fashion of Denpasar City," said Jaya Negara.

Meanwhile, Christabel Vania Angelica Handoyo said that at Paris Fashion Week 2021 she will present a design work entitled "The Power of Gek Bali" which consists of 10 designs.

"All design works are based on endek woven fabrics with various other creative process developments. Currently I am in the process of producing works which are targeted to be completed around December or January," he said.

"I will go to Paris Fashion Week 2021 in March 2022 because the event was originally scheduled to take place in September 2021, but due to the pandemic constraints it was postponed to March 2022. Thank you for the support from the Denpasar City Government and hopefully given the smoothness to show the best," continued Vania .
