JAKARTA - Deputy Chair of the PDIP Faction of the DKI Regional House of Representatives, Ima Mahdiah, said there were seven members of her faction who agreed to submit an interpellation right proposal to DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan regarding the implementation of Formula E.
The former staff of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) said that the approval of the seven members of the PDIP faction was contained in the signing of the proponent for the right of interpellation which would be submitted to the chairman of the Regional House of Representatives.
"As of this afternoon, there have been 7 people who have signed their signatures. This will likely increase because there are appointments tonight to sign", Ima said when contacted, Wednesday, August 18.
Ima initiated the idea of interpellation rights proposal from PDIP. Then, members of the PDIP faction who agreed with this proposal have also invited members of other factions such as Gerindra, Golkar, and Democrats. Ima said that although on behalf of the factions they had not taken any action regarding interpellation, each member of the council, both from PDIP and other factions, could decide for themselves to participate in proposing.

It is known, in the DKI Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Rules of the DKI DPRD, the right of interpellation is proposed to the leadership of the Regional House of Representatives. The form of the right of interpellation this time is a plenary meeting with the Governor.

In principle, Ima wants Formula E to be canceled and the budget that has been disbursed for the Formula E plan worth almost IDR 1 trillion can be withdrawn.
"Here, we want the money for formula E to be withdrawn for many people. The money is for handling the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people have also been laid off and we can help with capital and others", concluded Ima.
