Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura Supports Palu City Government Lockdown Of Untad Lecturer Housing Complex

PALU - Central Sulawesi Governor Rusdy Mastura supports the Palu City Government's policy of implementing a regional quarantine in the Tadulako University Lecturer Housing (UNTAD) area.

"The Central Sulawesi Government's form of support involves the Social Service opening a public kitchen for the Palu City Government in preparing food for residents in the housing complex," said Rusdy Mastura in Palu, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, August 17.

The public kitchen was opened by the Social Service of Central Sulawesi, to help the public kitchen of the Palu Social Service in order to serve the needs of residents affected by the regional quarantine as many as 300 families.

Where, the two agencies serve the needs of breakfast, lunch and dinner as a form of government attention to the impact of the policy.

"What the government is doing is for the good of the community in order to control the spread of COVID-19," said Rusdy.

According to the government, the death rate due to COVID-19 is quite high, reaching 17 cases in the past week and cases exposed to around 40 households.

On that basis, the Palu City Government took strategic steps to reduce the rate of exposure to the corona virus.

In addition to the policy of the Palu City Government, the Governor also appreciated the policy of the Sigi Regent who had taken strategic steps to reduce community mobility.

"According to the report we received on Monday, Sigi Regency is currently in the orange zone, which was previously the red zone," said Rusdy.

Rusdy appealed to all regents in the province to take concrete steps as prevention and control efforts by reducing community mobility and complying with health protocols.

"We must not be careless about this situation. Therefore, the regent and other parties need to build collaboration in handling COVID-19," said Rusdy.

Reducing community mobility during the implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM), has been stated in a circular letter from the Governor of Central Sulawesi, including instructing all regents/mayors to prepare centralized isolation places for residents exposed to the corona virus.
