Celebrating The Independence Of The Republic Of Indonesia, F-16 Fighter Jets Perform Fly Pass Action At Istana Merdeka

JAKARTA - Eight F-16 fighter jets belonging to the Indonesian Air Force performed a fly pass above the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta during the Commemoration Ceremony of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday, August 17.

Fighter jets from the 3rd Air Squadron and 16th Air Squadron flew in maneuvers above an altitude of 1.000 feet. At that height, the pilots saluted and congratulated independence day.

"We eagles of the Air Force guarding the country from a height of 1.000 feet wish you a happy 76th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021. Indonesia is strong, Indonesia is growing. Greetings Swa Bhuwana Paksa. Independence!" said one of the pilots of the F-16 fighter aircraft which was broadcasted on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Tuesday, August 17,

After the attraction, six Nusantara Flight helicopters took part, carrying two giant red and white flags and passing over the Merdeka Palace.

As for this ceremony, the Tangguh Indonesian Troops Team served as the Heirloom Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka). According to a written statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Ardelia Muthia Zahwa will act as the flag bearer. He is a representative from North Sumatra Province who was born on December 6, 2004, in Tebing Tinggi and studied at SMA Harapan I Medan.

The other three from Group 8 who were tasked with raising the flag were Aditya Yogi Susanto as Commander of Group 8 representing Gorontalo Province, Dika Ambiya Rahman as flag bearer representing West Java Province, and Ridho Hadfizar Armadhani as flag hoist representing Lampung Province.

Meanwhile, Colonel Pnb. Putu Sucahyadi was appointed Commander of the Commemoration Ceremony of the Seconds of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The man who was born in Denpasar, October 9, 1977, graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1999. He currently serves as Assistant Chief of Police for Operations (Asops) of National Air Defense Sector Command II (Kosekhanudnas) Makassar.

Next, acting as the Paskibraka Company Commander was Captain Inf Suryadi Nataatmaja. Currently, the man who graduated from the Military Academy in 2012 is serving as Danki Air Pandu Denpandutaikam Para Raiders 18/2 Kostrad.

Acting as Ceremonial Officer was Brigadier General Novi Helmy Prasetya. Born in Bangkalan, 10 November 1971, currently serves as Chief of Staff of the Permanent Garrison I/Jakarta. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1993.
